    I purchased this antenna to use on my 2M/7CM mobile, and as a receive only antenna for my Uniden scanner, using an antenna switch. I was using a Comet CA-2X4SRNMO on a mag mount, on the roof of my truck, but it was too tall, and I kept hitting things and knocking it off. This Larsen is substantially shorter than the Comet, but it still performs very well with either radio. I was very surprised at it's receive capabilities on the lower VHF49-50Mhz frequencies for the California Highway Patrol on the Uniden scanner, despite being tuned for the higher VHF range. So, I'm really pleased with the purchase. Antenna Farms shipped it out fast after I placed the order... good deal!
