Tram 1199

Preliminary testing shows this Tram 1199 does in fact work well with my Uniden SCS100 scanner on traveling in my truck. I have not been on a trip yet, so this is "preliminary", however, just sitting on my driveway I am able to hit repeaters 30 miles away easily. The coupling through the glass tech seems to perform just fine. I didn't quite get the two bases lined up, but it still works well. My install is on a 2019 Ford Ranger, using the back window. This window is tinted and also has the defrost strips. However, I had read that if you center the base vertically between 2 of the wire strips (inside window) that it does work well. I can verify that. Also, my tinting was factory and the tint is NOT done using reflective tinting metal oxide, but just a simple darker color of glass. Again, seems to work well. I recommend. I purchased from Antenna Farm because they had the black version of the arial. The other online giant carries the chrome arial, which did not match my trim package.
