Be ready for emergencies! The Analog Handheld Radio Scanner 1010 from Whistler offers the convenience of 1-touch searches of marine, fire/police, air, ham, and weather frequencies. It receives VHF Lo bands 29 MHz to 54 MHz, Aircraft 108 MHz to 136.99166 MHz, VHF Hi bands 137 MHz to 174 MHz and UHF Bands 380 MHz to 512 MHz. SKYWARN provides instant access to frequencies used by storm spotter networks to monitor storm conditions as they occur—prior to the media or emergency management officials announcing them to the general public. SAME/FIPS weather alert displays the weather event and sounds an alert for a chosen specific county or counties. 400-channel memory stores favorite frequencies in 10 separate storage banks. Priority channel sets the scanner to check 1 channel every 2 seconds while scanning. The Backlit LCD provides easy-to-read displays which helps when programming data in low light situations. Data cloning allows transfer of the programmed data to another WS1010 scanner. It is also PC programmable so you can backup data, update the database, and program the scanner directly from your PC (third party software required).
