Andrew F090CCS3 FlexTwist® WR90 Flexible Twistable Waveguide, 8.2–12.4 GHz, 900 mm (35.43-Inch), Dual CPR90G Flanges

The Andrew F090CCS3 is a flexible, twistable rectangular waveguide assembly designed for microwave communication systems operating across the 8.2–12.4 GHz frequency range.

Part of the Andrew FlexTwist® waveguide series, this assembly provides a flexible connection between microwave antennas, radio equipment, and rigid rectangular waveguide components.

The F090CCS3 features CPR90G flange interfaces on both ends, making it suitable for compatible WR90 rectangular waveguide connections.

The assembly measures 900 mm (35.43 inches) in length, commonly described as a 36-inch flexible waveguide section.

Its flexible construction permits controlled bending and twisting during installation, allowing technicians to accommodate differences in flange alignment and equipment positioning without requiring additional rigid waveguide elbows.

The FlexTwist design also helps isolate vibration and reduce mechanical stress transmitted between connected microwave components.

Andrew specifies an average power rating of 960 watts and a peak power rating of 180 kW, with attenuation of 0.43 dB per meter.

The manufacturer specifies a VSWR of 1.10:1, supporting low-reflection microwave transmission across the rated frequency range.

The waveguide can accommodate multiple bends with minimum bend radii of 64 mm in the E-plane and 127 mm in the H-plane. It also supports a maximum twist of 310 degrees per meter, subject to the manufacturer's mechanical installation limits.

The F090CCS3 supports pressurized waveguide systems with a maximum pressure rating of 45 psi.

Typical applications include point-to-point microwave radio systems, telecommunications towers, antenna feedline assemblies, and microwave equipment installations requiring flexible WR90 connections.
