The Andrew 42396A-11 is a stainless steel butterfly hanger designed to support and secure HELIAX® EW77 elliptical waveguide in telecommunications towers, microwave antenna installations, and outdoor RF infrastructure.
Part of the Andrew standard butterfly hanger series, this hanger provides mechanical support for routing elliptical waveguide along cable ladders, tower structures, and compatible mounting assemblies.
The hanger is specifically designed for EW77 elliptical waveguide, accommodating cable dimensions within the manufacturer's published 26.7–36.5 mm (1.051–1.437 inch) range.
Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the 42396A-11 provides durability for outdoor installations exposed to moisture, temperature variations, and environmental vibration.
The butterfly-style construction supports one waveguide run per hanger and is designed for installation on a 3/8-inch (M10) drilled cable ladder or compatible mounting structure.
Andrew specifies a maximum return loss effect of 0.1 dB and a maximum distance-to-fault (DTF) effect of 0.1 dB.
The hanger is rated for operating temperatures between -40°C and +85°C and has a minimum corrosion resistance of 500 hours in salt-spray testing.
The 42396A-11 is suitable for microwave backhaul installations, point-to-point radio systems, telecommunications towers, and other applications requiring dependable EW77 waveguide support.
