Andrew 2180SEM HELIAX® EW180 Fixed-Tuned Elliptical Waveguide Connector, 17.7–19.7 GHz, PDR180 Flange

The Andrew 2180SEM is a fixed-tuned elliptical waveguide connector designed to connect HELIAX® EW180 elliptical waveguide transmission lines to microwave equipment utilizing a PDR180 rectangular waveguide flange interface.

Operating across the 17.7–19.7 GHz frequency range, the 2180SEM provides a low-loss transition between EW180 elliptical waveguide and WR51 rectangular waveguide equipment.

The connector features a straight, fixed-tuned design that provides the required waveguide transition without field adjustment of its electrical tuning.

Constructed from brass with unplated contact surfaces, the 2180SEM is designed for durability and compatibility with microwave waveguide transmission systems.

The connector supports both tab-flare and tool-flare attachment methods and is pressurizable for use in compatible pressurized waveguide systems.

With a typical insertion loss of just 0.01 dB and a maximum peak power rating of 15.70 kW at 18.70 GHz, the connector is suitable for demanding microwave transmission applications.

The Andrew 2180SEM is commonly used in point-to-point microwave radio links, antenna feed systems, telecommunications towers, and other 18 GHz installations requiring a PDR180 waveguide interface.
