Andrew F042KMS5 FlexTwist® WR42 Flexible Twistable Waveguide, 17.7–26.5 GHz, 1200 mm (47.24"), PBR220 to UBR220

The Andrew F042KMS5 is a 1200 mm (47.24-inch) flexible, twistable rectangular waveguide assembly designed for microwave transmission systems operating between 17.7 and 26.5 GHz.

Part of the Andrew FlexTwist® series, this WR42 waveguide provides a flexible connection between microwave antennas, radio equipment, and rigid waveguide components where mechanical alignment, bending, or twisting adjustments are required.

The assembly features a PBR220 flange interface on one end and a UBR220 flange interface on the opposite end, providing compatibility with corresponding WR42 waveguide connections.

Engineered for high-frequency microwave applications, the F042KMS5 supports 100 watts average power and 39 kW peak power, with a specified VSWR of 1.35:1 and attenuation of 2.62 dB per meter.

Its flexible construction accommodates minor alignment differences, helps isolate vibration, and reduces mechanical stress on connected waveguide equipment. The waveguide can be bent and twisted within its specified mechanical limits to simplify microwave antenna positioning and installation.

The F042KMS5 is suitable for point-to-point microwave radio links, antenna feed assemblies, telecommunications infrastructure, and other microwave systems requiring a flexible WR42 waveguide interconnection.
