Commscope EW180-173
Description
Description
The Andrew EW180-173 is a standard-grade HELIAX elliptical waveguide designed for microwave communications operating between 17.3 and 18.4 GHz.
It features a hollow, corrugated copper conductor enclosed in a protective black polyethylene jacket. The corrugated construction permits controlled bending during installation while providing low-loss microwave transmission.
The EW180-173 is used for connecting microwave radio equipment and antennas in point-to-point communications, telecommunications infrastructure, and microwave backhaul systems.
Unlike coaxial cable, this waveguide does not use a center conductor. It transmits electromagnetic energy through its hollow metallic structure.
