Commscope EW43
Description
Description
The Andrew EW43 is a standard-grade HELIAX elliptical waveguide designed for microwave communications systems operating from 4.4 to 5.0 GHz.
It features a corrugated copper waveguide with a protective black polyethylene jacket, providing low-loss microwave signal transmission between antennas and radio equipment.
Unlike conventional coaxial cable, the EW43 has no center conductor. Its hollow elliptical construction carries microwave energy using the eTE11 propagation mode.
The waveguide is designed for telecommunications towers, point-to-point microwave links, and microwave backhaul systems.
The EW43 can be cut to length and fitted with compatible Andrew waveguide connectors. It also supports specialized bending tools, grounding kits, cable hangers, and weatherproof entry boots.
