Description
Description
The Andrew 31535 is a heavy-duty stainless steel lace-up hoisting grip designed to lift and support large-diameter HELIAX coaxial cables and compatible elliptical waveguides during telecommunications tower installations.
The grip uses a flexible woven wire-mesh construction that wraps around the cable or waveguide. When tension is applied, the mesh tightens around the cable, distributing the lifting force along its surface.
Unlike a preformed hoisting grip, the lace-up design allows installation around an existing cable without having to slide the grip over the cable end.
The 31535 accommodates cable outside diameters from 2.00 to 2.50 inches, including compatible 2-1/4-inch HELIAX cables and EW37 elliptical waveguide.
Typical applications include hoisting transmission lines onto communications towers and providing structural support during installation.
