85W FM Mobile Transceiver

Yaesu FT-3185R VHF FM Mobile Transceivers are powerful mobile transceivers designed for the 2-meter amateur band, offering up to 85W of power with additional selectable power settings of 50W, 20W or 5W. Its massive heatsink, which operates without a cooling fan, ensures consistent RF power output. Essential features include CTCSS/DCS encode/decode, Automatic Power-Off (APO), Time-Out Timer (TOT), and Automatic Repeater Shift (ARS), making the FT-3185R a reliable choice for mobile 2-meter operation.

Additional notable features of the FT-3185R, is Primary Memory Group Activity Monitor (PMG), and Custom Function List (CFL). The Primary Memory Group Activity Monitor (PMG) function can register up to 5 memory channels or VFO receive frequencies simply by pressing and holding the PMG key. Press the key to scan the registered frequencies and when a signal comes in on a channel other than the current channel, the transceiver will automatically receive that signal. The Custom Function List (CFL) can be personalized by registering frequently used functions (up to 9) from the 44 items of the Setup Menu. The functions may then be called up with one touch of the F-Menu key or easily selected with the DIAL knob.

The FT-3185R transceiver offers enhanced audio quality with a built-in speaker delivering 3W of clear audio, specifically tuned for improved sound quality, and includes advanced features like the Super-DX function, which improves audio performance in noisy environments. Installation of the optional SPU-1 Audio Digital Signal Processing Unit (ASP) improves the audio quality of weak signals and expands the communication range (sold separately). Additionally, FT-3185R includes 10 NOAA Weather channels with Weather Alert, providing added functionality for users who rely on receiving current weather updates.
