An American telecommunications tower manufacturer founded in 1948 by Dwight Rohn in Bellevue, Illinois (near Peoria). ROHN originally manufactured small television reception towers and expanded to become the recognized standard in the tower industry. The company was acquired by UNARCO Industries in 1971, reorganized as UNR Industries after 1982 bankruptcy, renamed ROHN Industries, acquired by Radian Corporation in 2003, and became independent as ROHN Products LLC in 2008. Located in Peoria, Illinois, ROHN manufactures self-supporting towers, guyed towers, monopoles, utility structures, antenna mounts, and broadcast towers up to 2,000 feet for telecommunications, cellular, amateur radio, and commercial broadcasting worldwide.
